CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Priority projects are all set for 2017 as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) newly appointed District Engineer William Bustos disclosed the construction programs arranged for the district.

Bustos said that the repairs along Jose Abad Santos Avenue (JASA) already started particularly on the strengthening of bridges. He further said that adding sheer weight and volume of vehicular traffic along JASA require the need for stronger bridges in the area.

The DPWH has also set the reconstruction in areas along the Manila National Road (MNR) from the town on Santo Tomas to the town of Macabebe, the repairs include a network re-blocking along the approaches of the bridges in the town as a result of its significant lowering.

Bustos said that the district’s highest funding for the projects is P50 million at present but the DPWH will soon delegate projects for Region III worth P100 million due to the region’s performance as well as its deference to quality control.
