CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Feb 9 – The Department of Health (DOH) lead the first-ever Central Luzon Dangerous Drug Abuse Summit on Wednesday seeing this as an advanced success against the war on drugs.
DOH Assistant Secretary and Central Luzon Regional Director Leonita Gorgolon said in her opening message that things are being prepared to address the problem on drugs, this activity is one of the campaigns that we can consider as some of our first success against drugs.
Gorgolon pointed out that they will use this event to highlight the initiatives done within the region and even from other regions with the intention of learning from each other and sharing best practices to arm the public with relevant information and ideas that can adopt or enhance the implementation of plans and programs on drugs abuse.
In addition, Gorgolon also said that the support of other agencies and organizations working together for the common vision drives the advocacy despite mentioning the relentless campaign of the government against the use of illegal drugs as an overwhelming task.
Various line agencies, local government units, civil society organizations, health workers and members of the media (CLJD/MJLS-PIA 3) participated in the Summit.
